- They typically include:
- large numbers of lightly armed trollkin
- a small core of heavily armed dark and great trolls.
- They favour nighttime ambushes.
- They use darkness magic to douse fires and other light sources.
- The trollkin are usually sent in first to wear the enemy down
- The dark trolls wait to strike at a favourable time.
- If the battle goes badly, the trolls often abandon the trollkin without remorse.
