• The antagonists were Heseroon Marn and the New Dragons Ring
• The New Dragons Ring laid siege to the city in 953 ST
• Heseroon Marn was killed during the siege at an unknown date.
• The New Dragons Ring lifted the siege in 989 ST and retreated southwards.

• Comment:

• The Closing appears to prevented the New Dragons from launching a flanking naval invasion further north.
• This suggests that Shiyang had revolted. 
• This may also be behind the reference that the New Dragons Ring concealed evidence of the Closing for a generation.
