- They are horse-riders.
- They worship Galanin the Horse Goddess and Ehilm the Sun God.
- They are organized into clans and are matriarchal.
- They are said to be "aristocratic".
- The Malkioni fallaciously considered them to be Hsunchen.

- There were four tribes at the Dawn Age: the Fornao, the Korioni, the Utoni and the Vustri.
- They were united by Dari in 265 ST into the Dari Alliance.
- They then attacked Tanisor in 295 ST and destroyed the Silver Empire.
- They were the main power in Seshnela and Ralios until Dari was assassinated by Seshnelans in 307 and his confederation collapsed.
- They united again in the Second Dari Alliance circa 320 ST
- The Alliance still existed in 400 ST, and was probably dissolved around 422 ST, during the Lightning Rebellion sparked by Harmast Barefoot.
- In the Modern Age, they are mainly found in Eastern Safelster, in the countries of Tiskos, Estali and Helby.
