• North of the marsh is the Tangle
• Comment: It seems to be fairly recent.

• At the Dawn, the Newtlings lived in the Rightarm Isles
• Fudaru, a newtling on Dormal's Voyage, was desperate to reach the New Fens to breed, indicating that the marsh was not extant then.
