It is divided into quarters: the Palace of Bronze, the Sun Quarter, the Free Quarter and the Foreigners Quarter
West of the city lie the Fields of the Tents of Silver
It has a population of 3,500

The Elmali took up worship of the Golden Spearman with a shrine in their temple
In mid 1550 ST, Lunar magicians revealed the Spearman to have been a son of Yelm
This caused a schim which was not calmned until Tarkalor Trollkiller brought Yelmalio
The Yelmalions are estranged from Vaantar having given refuge from exiles in 1582 ST

Before 1420 ST, Aldachur was riven by a feud which caused the settlement of Ironspike
It changed from Tarshite to Sartarite rule during the reign of Phoronestes

Comment: This statement in the History of Dragon Pass is in error. It left Tarshite rule but didn't join Sartar until some years later.

In 1582 ST, it was besieged by the Lunar Empire
Terasarin, son of King Tarkalor defended it then.
In 1585 ST, the Yelmalions of Aldachur gave refugee to exiles from Vaantar; causing estrangement.
Terasarin linked the city to Dangerford with one of the Royal Roads of Sartar
He also built it new walls and towers.
Before 1602 ST, Fazzur led many raids against it.
In Storm Season of 1611 ST, the city was wracked by fighting between Orlanthi and Lunar supporters.
The temple to Orlanth was destroyed in the fighting and abandoned.
On Day 153 (Wildday of Movement Week) of 1619 ST, it was visited by the Crimson Bat for five weeks and devoured 150 people.
It left on Day 191
After the Dragonrise, it was seized by troops commanded by Fazzur.
During Kallyr's reign, its mayor was Tarkalor Vandarlsson who was murdered by Lunar troops.
It was seized in 1627 ST by Prince Argrath with the help of the Eleven Lights Company and the Eaglebrown Warlocks
